Rabarama. Identity
Curated by Enrico Gusella
On 4 August in the fascinating landscape of Villa Zerbi in Reggio Calabria the anthological exhibition Rabarama. Identità/Rabarama. Identity is launched, curated by Enrico Gusella and promoted by the Culture Department of the Council of Reggio Calabria with the co-operation of Vecchiato New Art Galleries of Padua.
The exhibition presents about 100 works, divided into sculptures of small, medium and large sizes, rubber sculptures and paintings.
This exhibition held at Villa Zerbi highlights the complex creative scenario of the artist, presenting a very detailed and consistent development: 7 years of research from 2000 to today, with monumental works installed on a promenade described by Gabriele D’Annunzio as “the most beautiful kilometer of Italy”.
Rabarama is considered a complete artist and this is true especially because she is acclaimed on the Italian and international markets. In the last years Rabarama took part in significant international events, such as the event in co-operation with Franck Muller in Geneva (2007); the solo exhibition at the Sebastian Foundation in Mexico City (2005); the exhibition at the Art Museum of He Xiangning in Shenzhen, in the Museum of Contemporary Art Millennium of Beijing and in the Museum of Contemporary Art of Shanghai (2004); and in the prize for the young artistic research, Beijing International, at the Biennale of Beijing (2003).
