Luca Bertasso’s “Aquariums” are Pop TV screens that broadcast fantastic worlds populated by anthropomorphic fish on sea blue backgrounds. Colorful and grotesque kaleidoscopes, magical alchemical games, baroque encyclopedic compilations painted with skill and courageous color combinations. A Byzantine style, due to its great formal precision, based on the use of repeated drafts of color and meticulous gilding and silvering of the contours.
