Matta. “…etcetera…etcetres…eccetera”

This exhibition explores the artistic career of Matta where the themes refer to the elements of nature and the seasons of the spirit: earth, water, air, fire. The core of the exhibition consists of 70 paintings that are recent works mostly never seen before, whereas about forty bronze sculptures belong to the period between 1969 and 1995, while the 14 ceramics on display have been made between 1992 and 1995.
All in all they are about 120 works made from 1969 to 1996, where Matta expresses himself through different painting and sculpture techniques: from oil on canvas to oil on paper, to crayons and pencil on paper, to bronze, to ceramics.
