Marica Moro. Genesis second day
Curated by Fortunato D'Amico
During the Venice Biennale of Architecture, Spazio Thetis is hosting the personal exhibition “Marica Moro. Genesis second day”, curated by Fortunato D’Amico on the subject of regeneration involving Man, Nature and architecture.
For the occasion Marica Moro has created the monumental sculpture Genesis 2 that represents a human being emerging from a flowerpot to recall the birth of Man from Mother Earth’s womb and consequently his/her indissoluble link with her.
The large sculpture-pot Genesis 2 (cm h.300 x cm 145 ÿ), placed in the spacious garden, establishes a communication with the adjoining work by Michelangelo Pistoletto, Terzo Paradiso – Coltivare la città; both works share the theme of the regeneration of Man in order to devise the creation of a city founded on a new relationship between Earth and architecture.
