Maria Cristina Carlini. Works in passage
For the very first time, Maria Cristina Carlini’s monumental sculptures arrive overseas, in the United States, with the exhibition “Maria Cristina Carlini. Works in Passage”, which involves the parks of the Rocky Mountain College of Art + Design and of the Auraria Campus, two important university complexes in Denver, the capital of Colorado.
The event also extends to another two locations: the Philip J. Steele Gallery and the Emmanuel Gallery, both of which are situated just inside the two universities.
The corpus of works, selected for the occasion by Cortney Stell, the curator of the exhibitions, gathers more than thirty works, amongst which stand out seven significant monumental sculptures, three of which – never exhibited before – have been made by the artist especially for this great occasion.
The show is conceived, promoted and organized by the INAC, National Institute of Contemporary Art, with the contribution of the Rocky Mountain College of Art + Design, sponsored by the City of Denver and assisted in the organization by the Italian Centre for Arts and Culture (Centro Italiano per le Arti e la Cultura).
