  • 29 September 2013 - 27 October 2013

At ex-Macello the cultural department of Padova launches Futuro Anteriore – Le arti della ceramica/Future perfect – The art of ceramics , an exhibition thought of and curated by Mara Ruzza, opens to the public from 29 September to 27 October.
The show, in cooperation with the Artemisia Association , in its fourth edition, offers the public a wide collection of contemporary ceramics made by various artists who, through different poetic and expressive paths, represent the conceptual, technical and formal research of ceramics in the Italian scene.
The sculptress Maria Cristina Carlini , whose artistic path in fact arises from the making of ceramics, hence the passion for sculpture, takes part in the exhibition.
On the occasion of the exhibition the artist has created the installation in sandstone, volcanic soil and enamel, named I crateri esplodono e la foresta si pietrifica/The craters blow up and the forest turns into stone, where it becomes clear the strong link that unites man to the Earth and nature: a conflicting relationship where usually man dominates. The work represents a devastating explosion in which the Earth rises up and the craters give life to a devastating blast, which turns trees into stone and destroys everything man-made.
