Maria Cristina Carlini. Origine
Curated by Carla Arigoni
In the heart of Paris the historic Beffroi in Place du Louvre will host the imposing work of sculptor Maria Cristina Carlini, entitled “Origine”.
The large stoneware installation, expressly created for the exhibition curated by Carla Arigoni, rises to over three metres and is composed of seven polychrome columns which recall ancient temples, primordial dances and sounds that convey viewers back to the origins of life.
Hundreds of stoneware circles rise from the ground to form a monumental creation that highlights the close connection between humankind, earth and sky, within an anthropological perspective recognisable throughout the entire production of Maria Cristina Carlini.
