Maria Cristina Carlini. Obelisco

Obelisco is the monumental sculpture never seen before, made by the sculptress Maria Cristina Carlini at the end of 2015, exhibited at Superstudio Più on the occasion of the Salone del mobile 2016. It is characterized by a steep vertical ascent and it is more that 4m high; it is made up of a corten steel casing that encloses a core of partly pitted salvaged wood. The tension – pitching upwards – hints at a positive attitude towards the future.
