Maria Cristina Carlini in Cina – Pechino and Shanghai

The monumental works of Maria Cristina Carlini can be admired in China on the occasion of two major events of great international significance: in Beijing, for the International Art Biennale, and in Shanghai, concomitantly with the Expo 2010.

When invited to represent the Italian art in China, Maria Cristina Carlini has responded with enthusiasm by sending two of her most significant sculptures, namely: Fortezza/Fortress (2008, Corten steel, 440hx500 cm diam.) and Legami II /Ties II (2009, Corten steel and leaden inserts, 470x280x270 cm).
The works are housed in the famous People’s Square in Shanghai from September 25th to October 31st 2010 in conjunction with the Expo 2010, which, with its over 300 pavilions, extends along both banks of the river that crosses runs through the huge Chinese city.
