Marc Didou. Pars Oculi
Curated by Philippe Daverio, Elena Maria Gregori Daverio e Marco Teseo
Marc Didou’s personal exhibition – which launches the rich agenda of events planned for 2017 at the Biblioteca del Daverio – presents a group of more than 20 sculptures, accompanied by drawings and sketches by the French artist who has been working for years on anamorphosis, optical illusions and games of light and perspective.
Oriented towards the process of deconstruction, especially of the human body, Didou’s innovative experimentation combines the expressive potential of sculpture with that of scientific language and new technologies, creating works that unite concept with figurative art, ancient with modern art, and allow the viewer to wonder about being and appearing, on what is real and what is imaginary.
