The Gold of Prague – Visual poems

La mostra presenta 200 opere, realizzate dagli artisti cechi Vaclav Havel, Jiri Kolár, Ladislav Novak e Karel Trinkewitz, provenienti da collezioni italiane, ceche e francesi. L’esposizione sottolinea, nell’enfasi della metafora, una vera miniera di esperienze e di risultati artistici che, attraverso il lavoro di quattro poeti/artisti che hanno esordito negli anni ’50 e tutti ancora in piena attività, restituisce uno spaccato delle esperienze di poesia visuale, di contaminazione tra scultura e parola, tra musica ed immagine, di cui Praga è stata uno dei grandi laboratori internazionali.
On show there are 200 works, made by the Czech artists Vaclav Havel, Jiri Kolár, Ladislav Novak and Karel Trinkewitz, coming from Italian, Czech and French collections. The exhibitionfocusing on metaphors, underlines a great source of artistic experiences and outcomes, which (through the works of four poets/artists who started their artistic careers in the ’50s and are all still working) give examples of visual poetry, of the fusion between sculpture and word, music and image, of which Prague has been one of the great international workshops.
