Paula Seegy Gallery celebrates the centenary of Miles Davis’s birth with a photographic exhibition by Fabrizio Garghetti, featuring around thirty historic photographs, mostly in black and white and printed on cotton paper, portraying some of the leading figures of the international jazz scene.
Through his sensitive and attentive gaze, Fabrizio Garghetti, one of the most original witnesses to the world of contemporary art, captures in striking photographs the fleeting moment when each performer’s body becomes a site of art, and music ceases to be merely a performance and becomes a metaphysical event.
