Icaro delle cadute. Lucia Lamacchia – Franco Raggi

The works of Lucia Lamacchia and Franco Raggi meet in a conceptual and iconic union that characterizes the works of the two artists where the falling subjects find symbolic places to land on.
The parallelism alludes to the myth of Icaro both as regards the act of the fall and in the memory of his father, Daedalus, architect, and creator, in this case, of structures ready to receive and mitigate the crash.
Combined with a delicate stroke and soft colors, this series of watercolors and marker drawings on paper wants to be as Lucia Lamacchia says, “an exhortation to let go and enjoy the fall, with a positive view that this is a metamorphosis, a new start”.
