The exhibition, featuring a carefully curated selection of works, including drawings, paintings, sculptures, and ceramic plates and bowls, created between 1946 and 2013, retraces the long and brilliant career of the artist and critic whose intelligent, ironic, and charismatic presence left a profound mark on the art scene. Throughout his life, Dorfles succeeded in combining theoretical inquiry and artistic practice while maintaining an independent stance, free from conformism and academic conventions. At the same time, he developed critical insights, innovative theories, and a highly personal visual language, two complementary dimensions of a single, coherent pursuit.
