The volume “Maria Cristina Carlini” edited by Chiara Gatti , published by Silvana Editoriale, which presents an important corpus of largely unpublished images of the works and exhibitions of artist, in addition to the text of the curator, collects the precious contributions of Paolo Campiglio , Maria Fratelli and Raffaella Resch ; each author highlights different points of view of the artist’s work and the central themes of his works: the importance given to the earth, natural elements, our roots, origins and memory.
During the event, the docufilm “Maria Cristina Carlini. Geologies, memorie della terra” made by Storyville. The video, shot mainly in the artist’s studio, reveals an intimate, daily dimension of Carlini’s practice as she is filmed working and moving in a space particularly dear to her: the one where her ideas are conceived and take shape. Carlini’s voice accompanies us throughout the journey as she discusses her art, her vision and her investigations, providing new insight into her work.
