Corpus. Paolo Topy

Area35 Art Gallery presents Paolo Topy’s solo exhibition “Corpus”, curated by Yves Peltier. The exhibition’s title explicitly refers to the human body, a theme with which the artist establishes a deep, often metaphorical relationship, linked to everyday objects.
The selection of the works on display, made between 2012 and 2018, illustrates how for Topy each work is an integral part of his research, in which he uses photography as a medium to express a broader reflection. The exhibition allows the visitor to get in contact with the artist through a path that leads to greater awareness of the body and the encounter with the other.
The exhibition is under the patronage of the General Consulate of France in Milan and the Institut FranÁais in Milan and is accompanied by a catalogue, in Italian, French and English, published by Area35 Art Gallery with critical text by Yves Peltier and an introductory essay by Giacomo Marco Valerio.
