Conceiving in the matter. Selected works by Maria Cristina Carlini

On the occasion of the 15th Giornata del Contemporaneo by AMACI, Artespressione gallery in Milan presents “Concepire nella materia. Opere scelte di Maria Cristina Carlini / Conceiving in the matter. Selected works by Maria Cristina Carlini”, curated by Matteo Pacini.
The exhibition displays sculptures by international artist Maria Cristina Carlini in stoneware and mixed media of small and medium size, including some never seen before such as Libri bruciati, as well as works on paper made by the artist in recent years, which represent her untiring experimentation with different materials, always fundamental in her research.
In fact, the strength of her works lies in the indissoluble bond with the matter as a primordial element that refers to the origin of the world, from which take form works with essential shapes, that highlight the deep relationship with the earth, man and his history.

On the opening day, Saturday 12 October, the exhibition runs from 11am to 8.30pm with a meeting with the artist at 6.30pm.
