Andy Warhol. Dall’apparenza alla trascendenza

The city of Aosta hosts, from 26 November 2011 to 11 March 2012, an extraordinary exhibition dedicated to Andy Warhol in the historic rooms of the Centro Saint-BÈnin, already the regional venue for important contemporary art events.
The exhibition “Andy Warhol. Dall’apparenza alla trascendenza/Andy Warhol. From appearance to transcendence”, curated by Francesco Nuvolari, presents a fine selection of eighty works made by Warhol between 1957 and 1987.
On display there are several unique pieces: screen-prints, graphic works and memorabilia, which accurately document the entire career of the leading figure of American Pop Art, considered still to this day a cult artist among the most popular of the XXth Century.
